Amazing powers of Apple Cider Vinegar

vinegarI don’t think there’s any other product out there that can match all the awesome uses of apple cider vinegar.  There are so many that it would be impossible to list them all in one article.  According to WebMD, apple cider vinegar seems to have an anti-glycemic effect, appears to help with type 2 diabetes and control blood sugar.  It also aids weight management by suppressing appetite and increasing metabolism.  Among many super powers, it boosts energy, gets rid of dandruff, whitens teeth, clears acne and so much more.

vinegar3What I want to do today is focus on the two uses that you might not have heard of.  One of the awesome uses of raw organic apple cider vinegar is a total body detox.  While there so many different programs that attempt to claim they help with getting rid of harmful toxins, there’s no real proof that they actually work and many times they leave you feeling worse by making you exhausted and depleted of nutrients.   Instead of turning your whole life upside down with these detox programs, why not try vinegar.  Just remember that you need to dilute it since it’s very acidic.  One or two teaspoons of vinegar in a glass of warm water before you eat a meal is all you’ll need to do.  Alternatively, you can sip it with your meal twice a day.  Vinegar is antimicrobial and even antibacterial in some cases so it’s extremely beneficial in detoxing your body.  With regular use, it will help with digestion, water retention and breathe new life into your body.

vinegar4Another amazing and not very well known use for raw apple cider vinegar is its ability to bring down high fevers.  Use 50/50 proportion of warm water to vinegar and soak a wash cloth in it.  Place the soaked wash cloth on the forehead.  Alternatively, rubbing the vinegar solution on the bottom of your feet is also extremely effective since the feet are very porous.  Unlike fever reducing drugs which bring down fevers very quickly (by the way those fevers come right back after a few hours), vinegar brings fevers down very slowly.  It may take hours but the beauty of it is that while it’s bringing it down slowly, making you more and more comfortable, it’s killing the infection.  It may stabilize at a low grade fever for a while depending on what type of infection it is, and most likely not spike up again (unlike with conventional drugs).

vinegar5Now, I am not claiming that vinegar works in every case.  I can only speak of my personal experiences with myself and my children.  A few years ago my daughter had a very bad case of roseola.  Anyone familiar with this infection knows that the fevers that accompany it are very high and dangerous.  In children, after fever reaches 104 it can result in seizures, which is very scary, and is certainly something you want to prevent.  The doctor said to give her fever reducing drugs but they would only work for a few hours.  Then the fever would come back and go even higher than before.  I was scared to leave her by herself at night.  She was so hot and red all over.  I learned about the vinegar remedy from my mom.  We had nothing else left to do.  After rubbing her with vinegar water, within a few hours the fever started to come down slowly and she started to feel comfortable around 101 temperature.  She maintained it for a few days feeling happy and energetic.  And then, just like magic, it was gone.

vinegar2So in conclusion, please add raw apple cider vinegar to your pantry and enjoy the many uses this wonderful product has.  Do your research, try some of these uses for yourself and write to me!  I would love to hear from you about your own experiences with vinegar.
