Can we like collectively stop blaming coffee for everything? Seriously, cease and desist! With every ailment, the first thing the doctor says is to stop drinking coffee. Do you have high blood pressure? Stop drinking coffee. Diabetes? Can’t drink coffee. Ulcer? Forget about it. Pregnant? Don’t even think about it! I swear it’s a conspiracy.
Well, I for one, refuse to stop drinking my favourite drink! Why? Because I love it! It’s the reason to get up in the morning. And it’s actually good for you! Yes, of course I have some science to back up my claims. Oh and for the record, I drank my coffee through both of my pregnancies with absolutely no adverse results. I’m glad I did. I was a happy pregnant woman!
Contrary to what you may have heard, coffee actually reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. It even may possibly play a role in reducing the risk of liver disease. But best of all, coffee is the number one antioxidant in the U.S. according to research at the University of Scranton. Coffee improves our brain energy levels.
It’s a performance drink for athletes, especially for those of us in the endurance sports like running or boxing. And in terms of weight loss, it’s definitely a fat burner since it aids breaking down fat cells and using them for fuel (coffee is in every fat burning product!). It’s a great nutritional product as well. Believe it or not, it contains vitamins (B2 and B5), and minerals (manganese, potassium, magnesium and niacin).
I don’t know about you but even just smelling coffee puts me in a good mood. It just makes me a happier person all around. So, the verdict is, coffee is awesome, stop listening to the haters. Enjoy it and be a happy person! The end.
I’ll even drink coffee when I feel a migraine coming on. If I get it just at the right moment it works wonders! I also drank coffee during both my pregnancies!
Coffee is better for you than they tell you. My kid’s pediatrician said they give coffee intravenous to newborn babies who have trouble breathing because it improves oxygen flow!
