I’m always tired!

healthy picture -tiredDo you ever wonder why you feel tired all the time?  Sure it could be the daily grind of work, commute, kids, bills, etc.  But what if you feel like no matter what you do, you still feel just as tired.  You go to bed tired and you wake up tired.  And the cycle continues day in and day out.  For many of us, the problem is low thyroid.  It has recently become a huge epidemic in this country and it must be addressed properly.  I will do more extensive series on thyroid in the future but right now I would like to address the tired factor and what we can do to fix it.

What happens when you feel tired all the time?  You end up eating sugary treats and definitely spending way too much time on the couch.  Both are the exact opposite of what you need to do to combat this downward cycle.

Let me first address the fact that if you are looking for the mainstream medical advice, this blog is not for you.  Mainstream medicine failed thyroid sufferers in an epic way.  They put you on drugs that continue to shut down your thyroid and lead you to more misery along the way.  I am here to explore the natural and, what I believe, the more effective solution to this problem.

healthy picture -coconutSo here are some tried and true, and most importantly drug free tips on how to fight thyroid exhaustion.  One is raw, unrefined, organic coconut oil, one teaspoon a day first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.  If this is all you can do, please do that.

healthy picture -brazil nutsAnother remedy is Brazil nuts.  Just two per day is all you need.  Brazil nuts have a huge amount of selenium which your thyroid desperately needs to function.

healthy picture -no breadAnother change to your diet that you would need to make is to drastically cut back on white flour products.  That would be breads and pastas.  White flour drains your energy and causes you to feel sluggish.  By cutting back on white flour products you will feel a drastic change in energy levels.

And last, probably the most important thing that you need to do to fight the exhaustion cycle is to get moving!  I know, it sounds counter intuitive but it’s the very thing that will turn the cycle around.  As you feel the desire to sit down, stand up and move, do something.  Go outside for a walk, run an errand, do something!  The more you do this, the more you will start to see the change in your natural state of always tired to tired sometimes to tired almost never.

  1. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment
is added I get four e-mails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
    Thanks a lot!
