I get asked that question all the time. The answer is very simple. Whenever is best for you. Don’t look at those crazy morning people who can get up at the crack of dawn and run 10 miles! If you can’t do that, don’t be discouraged. Most of us can’t and it’s totally ok! If you can squeeze in a workout mid-afternoon at lunch or after work, that’s just as good because you are doing something.
I see a tendency in people to go to extremes. They go for years without working out at all and then they want to jump in and work out hard every day, get up super early, drink raw eggs(just kidding here), do a 21 day cleanse, etc. I think it’s because we want results super quick instead of patiently waiting for the results to build over time.
My body is a result of decades of hard and consistent work. Do something on a regular basis and you will see the results gradually. Patience and consistency is key to building long lasting health and fitness. Mornings work for some people. They feel their body responds to it in a wonderful way and they like to kick start their day like that. Then there are people who would rather die than get up early and exercise (me!) but they are totally ok working out during lunch or in the evening. There’s no right or wrong here. Work out when you can, just do it consistently!
